What you will do

As an Integrated Logistics Support Lead, you will undertake Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) management and planning activities for various NZDF equipment projects, throughout all phases of the Capability Life Cycle.

This role covers a wide variety of activities with a focus on land capabilities. You will be working on small scale projects ensuring equipment will be maintained and supported throughout its life.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing cross functional relationships between ILS stakeholders;
  • Assessing project and capability resource requirements;
  • Enabling the frontlines to complete their missions;
  • Managing ILS programme/project budget(s); and
  • Providing a targeted approach, analysis and documentation for associated ILS concepts, planning and principals to ensure the delivery of optimised Through Life Support (TLS) solutions.

What we need

We are looking for someone to join a collaborative team environment who thrives under pressure to produce suitable and fit-for-purpose solutions. You will be able to adjust and adapt to changing priorities and to work across multiple requirements at once with a mix of military and non-military personnel.

You will have:

  • 10+ years’ experience working within logistics disciplines;
  • Demonstrated detailed knowledge of concepts, principles, techniques and applications of ILS and Through Life Support;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to adapt to a variety of audiences;
  • Proven ability to provide support, advice and mentor others on ILS matters; and
  • Previous experience working in project, risk and contract management.

Ideally, you will also have demonstrable knowledge of NZDF logistics operations, doctrine and processes, along with the NZDF Capability Management Framework.

Please note: You may be required to travel within New Zealand.
