As part of the International Revenue Strategy team within the Customer Compliance Services – Business of Inland Revenue, we are looking for an insight and intelligence analyst to join us as we progress our exciting work programme.

We are looking for a smart energetic person with strong analytical and relationship management skills to join our team as we further develop and refine our international compliance strategies especially in relation to base erosion and profit shifting impacting multinationals.

The successful applicant will be a confident communicator who is comfortable with producing high quality analysis and written material to meet the needs of a diverse group of users. You will be highly numerate with the ability to think laterally and logically. Tax knowledge and experience is desirable, but not necessary.

You will have:

  • Strong analytical skills and the capability to quickly identify and clearly express core elements of an issue supported by the ability to extract and interpret data.
  • The ability to identify emerging trends and provide thought leadership in your area of specialism to support the development of innovative customer and business solutions.
  • Experience in leading initiatives to develop solutions that deliver the right outcomes for customers.
  • Strong written communication and critical thinking skills with the ability to articulate analysis and related recommendations clearly and succinctly for a variety of audiences.
  • General understanding of the NZ economic environment would be valuable, especially familiarity with and knowledge of multinational enterprises.
  • The ability to think strategically and laterally.
  • Aptitude to learn and use various analytical systems and tools.
  • A strong work ethic with a can-do attitude, proven ability to meet deadlines and good relationship management skills.
