Our work is secret, but the reason for our success isn’t. It’s our people. And we’re just like you. We’re ordinary people. But together, we’re doing extraordinary things to protect New Zealand and New Zealanders.

While we’re ordinary people, we’re not all the same. We welcome diversity, in all its forms, in fact we consider it a strength.

Join us and become part of a Community where your skills, experiences and ideas are valued and you’re encouraged to be curious, to share your ideas and of course, have fun along the way.

If you’re up for the challenge, become Beyond Ordinary with us.

The GCSB are looking for Intelligence Production Analysts to join our team. This role can be an entry level role into the Production Analyst career path or an opportunity to broaden your existing intelligence analysis skills.  With ongoing support and training, you will be responsible for analysing information, possibly in a foreign language and drafting classified reports that inform government decision-making. You will operate with a significant degree of autonomy as you endeavour to satisfy New Zealand’s foreign intelligence needs, and will see tangible impact from your work.

For this challenging and rewarding role you will have a willingness to develop and maintain a good working knowledge of information and communication technologies. You will work with, and contribute to, a tight-knit team of dedicated professionals who are experts in topics that are of interest to the New Zealand government.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong research and analysis skills
  • Good general knowledge of, and an interest in, international political, economic and security affairs

This is a unique opportunity where you will get to work with a diverse group of people and use exciting technologies to solve complex problems. Above all, your work will ensure that New Zealand remains one of the best places in the world to live. No day will be the same. Ever.

We want our people to succeed, whatever success looks like for them. Join us and we’ll give you significant professional development opportunities aimed at taking your career in the direction you want it to go. You won’t stand still with us as we’re committed to ongoing learning and continuous improvement.

We’re also committed to your wellbeing. We want our people to be the best they can be, both at work and at home. We offer our people comprehensive benefits, access to staff networking groups, flexible working and great work-life balance.

If you want to love coming to work each day, let us help you become Beyond Ordinary.
