Depending on where your skillsets and your aspirations lie, you may be attracted to developing a career where you can continue to develop your expertise as part of our growing DDX team. Alternatively, you may be ready to shift into an advisory role doing more management reporting and providing alternative value-add services and financial advice.Day to day you will:Formulate solutions to client problems and issues and contribute to building a high-performance team culture. Specifically:In DDX:Oversee and undertake the preparation of a wide range of financial requirements of varying complexity, including preparing annual accounts, tax returns and tax compliance.Assist with data gathering and knowledge transfer.Deliver quality technical compliance work and support the development of others within the team in the delivery of this work.In Enterprise:Prepare regular financial informationConsult on restructuring, financing, valuation, sales and ongoing business interests.Future planning.Prepare management reporting packsCarry out financial modelling, cash-flow forecast and budgetsWhat you’ll bring to our team:1-2 years’ experience working within a New Zealand Chartered Accounting environmentUndergraduate degree or undertaking tertiary qualifications in relevant subjects (e.g. accounting, finance, or qualified by experience).Ideally working towards CAANZ or CPA membership, or membership of a relevant overseas professional bodyCompetent and literate with the following packages: Microsoft Word, Excel and a computerised accounting system.Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to deal with multiple tasks concurrentlyExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsProfessional approach to work and strong client focusA team player that values input and support from the team but can also work autonomously.We offer rewarding careers for outstanding professionals, ongoing learning and development opportunities, a collaborative and inclusive culture, and flexible and agile work practices that focus on our people’s wellbeing to drive innovation and entrepreneurship.
