    The Opportunity

    The International Solutions team manages end-to-end solutions and service including global network performance, and supplier relationships that enable our global hybrid commercial and postal network. This role owns and takes control of formalising the freight offers and ensuring New Zealand Post is known as a viable freight operator.

    As Freight Returns Warehouse and Digital Specialist (FRWD) you will define and build the offshore proposition for using onshore warehousing capability and will be responsible for building offshore capability to sell to exporters. You will be responsible for defining the import and export freight offer across both air and sea and ensuring that the offer is simple and able to scale. You will formalise the existing Returns and Reverse Logistics services into a simple offer and drive its sale and lastly you will take ownership of the operational structure of the international digital services.

    As our SME for all FRWD opportunities, you will ensure revenue and growth targets are met or exceeded, ensure regulatory compliance, and help drive strategies to better target customers through effective and relentless management of the portfolio and its emerging opportunities. This is a diverse portfolio which means your stakeholder relationships with teams like our Sales; Freight, Marketing, Technology, capability and regulatory are crucial. You will also work with government agencies such as Customs and MPI.

    We’d love you to have a few of the following:

  • Solid experience managing a business portfolio, services and/or customer segment propositions ideally taking a broad view of the business you have managed
  • A natural ability to build successful customer (int/ext) relationships at a senior level
  • Intimate knowledge of the global Postal and Courier industry, including a thorough understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Experience of selling new and foreign notions into diverse audiences within organisations B2B marketing experience
  • Evidence of successful implementation of pricing strategies for new or existing services and evidence of the understanding of risks associated with pricing decisions and experience managing portfolio life cycles – ideally across a wide range of products and/or services and ideally across a wide range of channels and markets
