The Ministry of Education, Learning Support are seeking skilled, innovative and enthusiastic people to work as a Kaitakawaenga. As Kaitakawaenga you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of Learning Support for Māori tamariki, mokopuna and their whānau, hapu and iwi. You will provide services that are responsive to Māori and includes identifying risks occurring to wellbeing and learning for Māori to succeed as Māori. You are expected to work proactively with colleagues, specialists, and educators across the early learning me ngā Kōhanga Reo, schools and kura Māori.
You will have strong teaming skills and the competency to establish effective relationships to deliver in the new learning support model with colleagues, specialists and educators working towards wellbeing and inclusive practice for Māori children and young people.
