About our group and team

SE&S – Sector Enablement and Support

Our teams around the country work closely with the Early Childhood and Schooling sectors, providers, and communities to provide support, expertise and resources to help children and young people reach their full potential.

The School Governance team provides expert advice and support for school boards of trustees, national oversight of statutory interventions, trustee elections, and school planning and reporting.

 

About this role

You will need:

Excellent project management skills and experience in developing and implementing projects

Proven ability to develop and nurture strong working relationships and networks with a range of external and internal stakeholders

 

About you

We are looking for a customer-focused and organised person who can use their influencing and skills to achieve positive outcomes.  Your role will contribute to the overall work of the School Governance team.

You will also offer:

  • a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience.
  • knowledge and understanding of school governance in New Zealand schools
  • the ability to provide quality advice and guidance on the implications of legislation and regulations, particularly in relation to school governance
  • the ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangatawhenuatanga.
