The School of Engineering and Advanced Technology is seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer to contribute to the delivery of the Bachelor of Engineering Honours (BE(Hons)) programme, by teaching courses and supervising undergraduate projects, primarily in subject fields of Control, Signals Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Sensors, Advanced Electronics Circuits, and Engineering Design with Constraints. In addition, you will participate in a number of on-going research programmes at the School, and will contribute to the supervision of postgraduate research students (Master of Engineering Studies (MEngSt), Master of Engineering (ME), and PhD).

As a successful applicant, you will have the deep expert knowledge and practical experience in the following fields: Signals and Systems; Digital Signal and Image Processing including the proficiency in Acoustic and Ultrasonic Signal Processing and Imaging; Sensors; Instrumentation and Measurement Systems and Techniques including Data Acquisition and Analysis, and Control Systems Engineering. Good understanding and practical experience in the areas of Non-Destructive Testing and Condition Monitoring Techniques with application to New Zealand’s prime industries will be of advantage. In addition, you should be able to demonstrate the capability to teach and supervise complex System Design and Implementation Projects in the subject areas of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, and Engineering and Innovation Management.
