About this opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated, smart, self-starter to join us as a Legal Executive Assistant to the Chief Legal Officer and to support the practice management requirements of our busy Legal team. 

In this varied role, you’ll be required to provide a high standard of professional support to enable the Chief Legal Officer and her team to operate efficiently and productively. You’ll support the team to deliver projects, training and enablement tools to the business. And, you’ll work to maintain and improve our own document management, knowledge management and other processes. You’ll also be accountable for managing the Society’s trade mark database.

It’s fast paced and busy, but with your solid experience of providing support at a similar level, you’ll take it in your stride and exceed at developing the role and making it your own.

About the role:

  • Providing key support to the Chief Legal Officer, enabling her to deliver on the Society’s core strategy and vision
  • Supporting high quality interactions with the Chief Executive and other members of the leadership team
  • Building great systems and processes to enhance the team’s efficiency and productivity
  • Creating and maintaining team content on the Society’s intranet
  • Managing the team’s document and knowledge management systems
  • Managing the Society’s trade mark database and all registrations and renewals
  • Processing legal invoices and managing external audit requirements
  • Providing technical and other administrative support to the team
  • About you:

  • Polished professional having 4+ years’ EA, legal secretary and/or legal practice management experience. Legal executive or para-legal experience would also be an advantage
  • Smart and innovative with a strong solution focus
  • Highly organised with a proven ability to prioritise and manage dynamic workload
  • Strong attention to detail and experience in managing technical or complex processes
  • Genuine interest in learning new areas of work
  • Passion for promoting efficiency, through simplifying processes and proactively anticipating needs etc
  • Able to work autonomously but enjoy working within a small, tight-knit team
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of office products and document management systems
