Our vision is ‘building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders.’ To help us achieve this, we are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor to manage the provision of a high quality maintenance service that ensures property maintenance, planned programmes and minor capital work is accurately prioritised, processed and delivered in a timely manner and to budget.

Other key tasks include monitoring and reporting on all maintenance work and contractor performance and competence, as well as working collaboratively with other Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities business units and teams to ensure that maintenance is delivered to agreed standards and that customer satisfaction targets are achieved.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu – What you will bring

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • a background in construction or building, and in working with contractors
  • a tertiary qualification in a property or maintenance-related field (or significant experience)
  • experience in programme maintenance workflows and building maintenance
  • a sound knowledge and understanding of contract issues
  • a customer-centric approach, coupled with the ability to multitask and pick up new skills quickly
  • the ability to understand and apply processes, along with computer literacy with the Microsoft Office suite
  • excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • a full and clean current New Zealand driver’s licence.
