    Scion is a Crown Research Institute (CRI) specialising in research, science and technology development for the forestry industry, wood products and wood-derived materials. We lead new technology development for renewables, bioproducts and energy and the establishment of a broader based bio-economy.

    Due to a member of staff being placed full time on internal projects for a period, we are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our vibrant financial team on a two-year fixed term basis. As an organisation looking to “drive innovation and growth” to “build economic value and contribute to beneficial environmental and social outcomes for New Zealand”, we require a Management Accountant to help us achieve our goal.

    Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be expected to be a key member of the finance team and your primary responsibilities will be to support the finance team in several areas including:

  • Business Partnering
  • Financial Planning – Budgeting
  • Month end processing & Management Reporting
  • Project Assurance & External Audit Compliance
  • Project Governance Support and Continuous Improvement
  • System Oversight & Data Quality Control
