Ko tā mātou mahi – Our Role
We are currently looking for a senior leader to develop our regional approach on community engagement and partnerships within Bay of Plenty. The main focus of this role is to build lasting relationship with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that strategies and outcomes identified for the region is align with the needs and aspirations of our community partners.
You will work closely with various stakeholders such as local and government, NGO’s and group representing neighbourhood and communities. Although this role reports directly to the Regional Director, the successful candidate will need to be comfortable in a matrixed working environment closely partnering with Regional Managers, Project Directors and Communications team to ensure that Kāinga Ora has an integrated approach in engaging with local iwi and hapu.
Key deliverable of this role is to lead a team that implements engagement, community development and place making strategy and policy at a regional level. You will be the Engagement & Partnerships subject matter experts who will evaluate the effectiveness of the activity, and identify areas for improvement in the Bay of Plenty region.
