Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team: Medsafe is the New Zealand Medicines and Medical Devices Authority, responsible for the regulation of therapeutic products in New Zealand. Medsafe regulates to internationally agreed standards and provides timely and unbiased information to consumers and healthcare professionals about the safe use of therapeutic products. The Product Regulation Branch is responsible for risk-based assessment of applications to market medicines in New Zealand. Te whainga poto o tēnei tūranga – What is the purpose of this position? The role of the Manager is to lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Branch, to manage external stakeholder relationships in the health and government sector, to participate in wider Medsafe management, and to provide credible technical advice. Ngā Pūkenga me ngā Wheako – Skills & Experience: To be considered for this position you will have experience working in regulation with an understanding of the regulation of therapeutic products. You will have a science, medical, pharmaceutical or health sciences-related tertiary qualification. Previous management experience is preferred.
