Manager, Methodology

Audit New Zealand is the largest provider of audit and assurance services to the public sector. We’re committed to delivering the highest quality service to our clients. We operate in a professional services model, which is consistent with a private sector auditing and assurance firm. Audit New Zealand is investing in its Audit Methodology team’s capability and capacity.

The Manager, Methodology is a key audit professional who will support the Associate Director, Methodology and be responsible for:

  • assisting with the development, application, and quality assurance of audit and assurance methodologies;
  • assisting with investigating and reporting to the Executive Leadership Team about audit and assurance matters affecting Audit New Zealand;
  • providing independent, high-quality, consistent, and authoritative advice and support to staff on auditing and professional matters; and
  • training staff in auditing, professional, and ethical matters and contributing to the professional development programme.

It’s essential that you’re a Chartered Accountant (or have a similar recognised professional qualification), with at least three years post-qualifying experience, preferably in external audit, and ideally in the public sector. We prefer that the successful person be based in our Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch office. We are also flexible on the start date of the successful person.
