This role reports to the National Maintenance and Upgrade Manager and is accountable for the delivery of responsive and routine repairs for the Wellington and South Island Housing New Zealand property portfolio through the management of the commercial relationships that exist between Housing New Zealand and external contracted parties, including, but not limited to, the performance-based maintenance contracts (PBMC). The MRM will manage a number of complex commercial relationships and lead a large and geographically diverse team to ensure that maintenance is delivered to agreed standards and that customer satisfaction targets are achieved.
Please note – regarding expectations of travel: Due to the geographical spread of both staff and Performance Based Maintenance Contractors coverage in this region, the ideal candidate will be primarily located in either Wellington (preferred) or Christchurch as a base location. The ideal candidate will also be expected to spend a minimum of two consecutive days per week in the non-base location.
