The Tax Compliance team will be experts in their fields, working to improve the value and impact of compliance work through standardising technology and exploring data analytics and new technology. The OpportunityNew opportunity for a Manager or Senior Manager to step into a senior role in a professional team which provides high quality services of specialist tax expertise to meet client needs.As a key contributor to building a centre of excellence for compliance, the Manager/ Senior Manager Tax Compliance will actively participate in technical work delivery processes, particularly with review and guidance of tax compliance engagements as well as oversight and, where appropriate, coaching of team members to ensure their overall technical compliance competence.Day to day you will: Deliver technical compliance work for medium and high complexity engagementsDeliver technical compliance development and leadership for the team, and others where requiredFocus on quality technical compliance deliverables from the team to contribute to building the Tax Compliance team as a Centre of ExcellenceReport and communicate progress against key measures.Participate in the building of a high-performance culture by focusing on innovation, a continuous improvement mind set and customer focusWork with other Tax leaders to build and utilise mechanisms to support knowledge transfer within and across teamsWhat you’ll bring to our team: 4+ years of relevant professional experience in the tax field.Significant tax experience in a professional services environment or combination of professional services and corporate tax experience with New Zealand tax exposure.Demonstrated leadership skills and effective coachingCompetent user of MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and accounting systemsExposure to business development and networkingDemonstrated high level of technical skills and knowledge over a sustained period of timeCAANZ, CPA or membership of a relevant overseas professional body is highly regardedWe offer rewarding careers for outstanding professionals, ongoing learning and development opportunities, a collaborative and inclusive culture, and flexible and agile work practices that focus on our people’s wellbeing to drive innovation and entrepreneurship.
