The RoleIAG are looking for a strong people leader with excellent relationship management skills to join their organisation as a Manager, Regional Distribution to coach and develop a high performing team.This role will be accountable for the Northern Commercial Distribution Network, providing leadership and strategic direction for our business development and underwriting teams, ensuring we are delivering against key margin, growth, customer retention and partner advocacy metrics.You will have experience at a senior level in sales distribution within the insurance industry, in particular the insurance broker market, as well as experience managing budgets and a good awareness of Risk and Governance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach and develop the Northern Regional Team, ensuring opportunities for career progressionResponsibility for the strategic development & management of the key partner relationships across the regionDeliver & exceed target outcomes on key performance metrics, contributed to by portfolio analysis & strategic business planning on all broker business within the region.Lead a whole of customer and partner view across the overall NZI business at both a Strategic and Operational levelManage controllable expenses across your region within budgetUltimate responsibility of your regional team for Risk, Governance & adherence to company guidelines & policiesSkills & ExperienceExperience in leading, developing and coaching high performing sales and underwriting teamsExperience in the New Zealand general insurance market in particular relating to commercial insurance, product management, competitor activity and insurance underwritingStrategic account development and management, establishing and monitoring BudgetsANZIIF Senior Associate or Fellow and other relevant business degree or diplomaAbout UsREADY FOR ANYTHINGAt IAG, we live and work by our purpose to make your world a safer place.
