Do you have administrative experience and would like to work in a friendly and interesting environment, assisting a group of people who are tasked with looking after the health and wellbeing of the Kaimai Mamaku Ranges and Forests?

 

The Manaaki Kaimai Mamaku Trust (MKMT) Forum Office is currently based at the Department of Conservation (DOC) office in Greerton, Tauranga.  DOC is hosting this role and funding comes from Trustpower both strategic partners and supporters of the MKMT Forum.  We appreciate their support, alongside the Bay of Plenty Regional Council (BOPRC) and the Waikato Regional Council (WRC).

 

The role involves assisting the MKMT Forum Coordinator to co-ordinate the work of the MKMT Forum Steering Group (FSG) and three Forum Project groups (FPGs) for Water, Biodiversity and People.  This involves arranging monthly meetings, assisting with note taking, and hosting duties for internal and external visitors.

 

Supporting the MKMT Forum Coordinator with administrative duties and back up is central to this role.  Excellent computer skills a must and use of new technologies as a tool, would be an additional skill to give you the edge.  Essentially its freeing up the MKMT Forum Coordinator so she can focus on external work.

The ideal applicant will:

  • Have a tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience, in business and/or business administration
  • Have strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Be a team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Be comfortable about working with whanau, hapū and Iwi and have respect for te ao Māori me ngā tikanga.

 

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.
