This national office opportunity will see the successful applicant supporting profitable growth across our franchisees by applying their superior commercial and construction knowledge.Role description:As National Commercial Manager (Construction) you will be part of the leadership team including; Marketing, Sales, Finance and Executive functional leads. Your role will focus on implementing best practice construction methodology with the challenge of ensuring customers’ high expectations are met efficiently on every build. This role is suited to an intelligent well-planned individual who genuinely enjoys working with a wide range of people.Responsibilities will include: Training / enhancing the construction experience of the network including new franchiseesSupport continued improvement in construction effectivenessDevelop and extend the positive and productive culture within the networkLead the quality management framework Oversee the QS training and pricing of our plan collection at a national level. This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities: Extensive residential building knowledge (10+ years and an LBP qualification)Health and safety implementation and reporting experienceStrong financial literacy covering profitability reporting on a single build to cashflow forecasting for an entire branchAbility to mentor franchises/franchisee and construction managers of varying levels of experienceAbility to review projects and business unit information from a financial perspectiveProven track record of implementing and improving processes within constructionCommercial contract knowledge specifically related to residential construction / consumer protectionCore financial understanding and able to process profitability and cash flow across multiple accountsCreative problem solving – able to bring in new ideas and revive existing methods of practiceStrong stakeholder communication and influence About the company:Established in Tauranga almost 40 years ago, our client is currently New Zealand’s premium new home building company.
