We are recruiting for a fixed term   Network Strategy Analyst , within the Network Strategy and Market Intelligence team, which plays a core role in shaping the network strategy and growth agenda within Air New Zealand. This an exciting opportunity to play a role in the re-emergence of the airlines network post COVID in line with its long-term vision, assessing NZ’s competitiveness in key markets and formulating appropriate strategic responses to changing market conditions.

What might you be doing now?

  • Be in an analytical role, dealing with multiple/complex variables to produce clear, concise & accurate commercial analysis that can be used to develop business plans
  • Be in a strategic role, dealing with ambiguity that comes with longer-term/scenario planning, where you visualise complex data to transform it into succinct insights that guide longer-term business direction
  • Have superior communication skills, excel in building inter-functional relationships, and the ability to be insightful and incisive
  • Have a good understanding of the complexities of airline networks and/or large-scale commercial industry experience in a similar analytical role

    To be successful in this role you will hold a university degree in a related or relevant discipline and ideally have experience working in a commercial / strategy / network environment. Excellent analytical and data visualisation skills will be clearly demonstrated through your mastery of Excel, Power BI/Query; SQL would be beneficial, but not required.

    You will have the desire to take complex/challenging/ ambiguous issues, and distil them to core drivers with simple messages to drive action. Equally focused on internal and external customers, you will have the ability to work with a wide range of range of stakeholders to drive change, and have strong commercial and strategic acumen.
