Who we are

As part of the University of Otago’s Operations Group, Campus and Collegiate Life Services (CaCLS) Division is privileged to lead a group of world class services at the University, dedicated to promoting the unique Otago experience and Collegiate nature of the Institution. Ranging from our Residential Colleges and the internationally regarded UniFlats, to the campus life services provided by the University Union, Recreation Services and various hospitality and retail outlets across the Dunedin campus, this role offers a large range of duties.

The role

The Operations Manager position is one of two identical positions located within the CaCLS Divisional Office and reports to the Senior Warden of Colleges for the day to day operational business management of the Colleges.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the management and effective coordination of non-academic, non-residential and contracted staff at all colleges, including but not limited to: Property Services, Domestic Services, Financial Services, Catering Services, Client Services and contracted security staff. Furthermore, they will be expected to develop and manage conference and sundry income opportunities over the summer. This position forms part of the Senior Warden’s team and supports the Division’s strategic business planning processes.

Experience in a similar role would be a distinct advantage, as would experience working at the University of Otago.
