What you will do

In this role you will be responsible for the preparation, documentation, packaging, and dispatch of all aeronautical and some non-aeronautical components on behalf of RNZAF Base Auckland Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul functions.

This role is particularly important to ensure continuity when military personnel are called away for service requirements, and is to be carried out in accordance with NZDF and RNZAF Logistic and Engineering policies and procedures.

What we need

We are looking for a person with logistics skills and experience, including freight receipting and dispatch. You will need to have a good level of computer literacy, preferably in the Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to adapt to new systems quickly and effectively, and any prior exposure to SAP and/or SRM is desirable. 
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills are necessary to ensure a customer focus, and the ability to liaise comfortably and effectively across the organisation.

  • Reliable and dependable work habits and a “can do” attitude;
  • The ability to work effectively and independently of supervision within both sole charge and team environments;
  • Enthusiasm to attend training opportunities as identified;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus with an ability to relate with a wide range of people, both individually and within a group/team environment;
  • Establishing and maintaining a positive, professional relationships.

Holding a New Zealand driver licence class 1 with F endorsement is an entry requirement for this role Opportunities to gain IATA and HSNO qualifications will be provided upon employment. A willingness to learn and undergo relevant training is essential.

DLC provides consolidated logistics support to equip and sustain the three Services to enable them to meet operational outputs now and into the future.
