As the Parliamentary Communications, Research and Policy Advisor to Arena Williams, you’ll put your high-quality communications, research skills and policy knowledge into action in this unique and rewarding environment. You’ll be a team player who will enjoy collaborating with others and be well-known for your excellent attention to detail, highly developed written communication skills and research experience.

This role is a varied and multifaceted one, where on any given day your responsibilities may include:

  • Developing specialist knowledge of your MPs portfolios and areas of interest
  • Organising press briefings and preparing press releases and content for articles
  • Using your research skills to survey the electorate and then analyse, interpret and collate the data, compile statistics and produce reports
  • Assisting this proactive MP with management of media channels

You will have an organised and methodical approach to research and compiling information on a variety of subjects as well as the ability to analyse data and distil information.

This is an events based, fixed term role linked to the MP, working 40 hours per week. Some flexibility in hours may be required.

The appointing salary band for this role is $57,883 to $72,292 per annum. Appointments will be based on your skills and experience.
