Supporting the running of Terisa Ngobi’s Ōtaki Electorate Office, you will work with Terisa and the team to ensure there is genuine engagement and consultation with Iwi and provide internal tikanga advice and guidance. This role is multifaceted and challenging with no two days the same. You’ll be stepping into an environment that is unique, exciting, and rewarding.

Ideally, you would have a strong grasp of Te Reo Maori and Tikanga and be passionate about engaging with, and have ties to local Maori and Iwi leaders in the community.

This is an events-based, fixed-term role linked to the MP, working 40 hours per week. Some flexibility in hours will be required.
The appointing salary band for this role is $54,712 to $68,390 per annum. Appointments will be based on your skills and experience.
The Otaki electorate spans from Foxton through to Paraparaumu. While the job will be based in the northern part of the electorate some travel to the southern part will be required at times.
