As the Parliamentary Senior MP Support to Chlöe Swarbrick, MP for Auckland Central, you’ll ensure everything runs smoothly in their Auckland Electorate and Community Office day in and day out. With no two days the same, this role requires someone with strong relationship building and time management skills.

A typical day may include:

  • Providing high quality advice and advocacy to the constituents in your community
  • Office management including developing and overseeing the office budget
  • Leadership and mentoring of your colleagues in the office
  • Building, developing and maintaining strong relationships within the community
  • Managing and responding to correspondence and emails

You’re a strong leader who will enjoy collaborating with others and are well known for your impeccable problem solving skills and adaptable nature. You are comfortable meeting with constituents, hearing their concerns and putting a plan of action in place.

This is an events-based, fixed-term role linked to the MP and is 30 to 40 hours per week. We will work with the successful applicant to agree hours of work. Some flexibility in those hours may be required.

The appointing salary band for this role is $57,833 to $72,292 per annum. Appointments will be based on your skills and experience.
