In this dynamic and challenging part time role (24 hours a week) you will:
Work closely with the Communications Manager and team in a collaborative environment.
Deliver communications strategy and strategic advice that changes the way we communicate as a business.
Deliver tactical communications content across all internal and external communications channels and audiences.
Support areas of the business to achieve their objectives, grow the company’s public profile and protect its reputation with all New Zealanders.
Step up in times of crisis and be a part of the response team.
To be considered, your CV and cover letter will demonstrate:
Breadth and depth of generalist communications.
The ability to understand and convey complex technical subject matter to a non-technical audience.
Exceptional influencing skills and relationship management at all levels.
Experience in crisis and issues management.
Whilst not essential, highly regarded will be:
Experience in a regulated business environment.
Understanding of the complexities associated with large scale infrastructure, energy sector or utilities providing an essential service.
Previous work in STEM orientated organisations is not required but is a real advantage!
