Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the Role

This Support Officer role based at our Reception is part time; 7.30am-1pm, 5 days a week (25 hours per week + 2.5 hours unpaid break)

There’s lots to do in this job – you will support the smooth running of the team’s office by providing reception and administration support to the staff at our Animal Health Laboratory in Upper Hutt. 

This role involves reception and general office functions including travel, meeting setup, tearoom duties, as well as being able to respond to the changing needs of the business.

You will be part of our Business, Support & Facilities team in the Intelligence, Planning & Coordination Services (IPCS). This team is busy, hardworking and relied on to provide all aspects of administration support to the business.

You need to:

  • Be agile, adaptable and quick to pick up things
  • Have a can do attitude
  • Be a team player and able to build strong relationships and get along with all types of personalities
  • Be strong on systems and processes but able to cope with making changes on the fly
  • Have great typing skills, be a whiz with a spreadsheet and tech savvy
