To do that effectively you will need:Experience working with brief interventionProven skills in building and maintaining relationships with clients and community agenciesA tertiary qualification in the area of Counselling, Psychology, mental health or related fieldA good understanding and awareness of the University’s obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the Equity policy.Knowledge of mental health issues and skill in managing high risk situationsExcellent time management, sound clinical judgement and tech savvyExperience and knowledge of Pasifika cultures and/or languages.Understanding of equity issues in Aotearoa especially with relation to Māori and Pacific Island people.Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the PVC Māori and PVC Pacific offices, Tuākana network, Student Support Advisers for Māori & Pacific students across the various faculties and other key stakeholders.This is an opportunity for a highly motivated clinician, experienced in working with young people, to join a positive and dynamic team, committed to supporting students in achieving their academic goals.Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou | What we offerWe offer the opportunity to extend your experience with New Zealand’s leading University in a way that can also have a positive impact on the lives of students.
