Reporting to the Remuneration and Rewards Manager, this role is responsible for processing end to end weekly payroll and ensure all data is captured accurately and efficiently for approximately 500 employees. Hynds are currently in the process of implementing a new payroll system so you will be responsible for the smooth running of payroll operations while this project is underway.The Role:Managing end to end payroll functions on a weekly basis including out of cycle paymentsMaintaining and updating staff records and new starters/leaversPreparing and reconciling paymentsResponding to and problem-solving any payroll queries receivedSupporting monthly payroll functionsAssisting the Rem. and Rewards Manager with payroll-related projectsWhat you will bring to the role:NZ experience in processing complex end-to-end payrollKnowledge of PAYE filing and ACC claimsExposure and application of NZ legislation e.g. Holidays, Kiwisaver, Parental Leave ActsIntermediate Excel skillsAbility to quickly learn new systemsStrong communication with good listening skillsSelf-motivated, deadline-driven with the ability to work autonomouslyExcellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skillsExperience in Time and Attendance clocking system (preferred)Why join Hynds:Competitive salarySouthern Cross medical cover (after 6 months)A values-focused and supportive environmentCareer, learning & development opportunitiesThis position is 32 hours/week and for the right candidate flexible working arrangements can be discussed.
