Newly created role for a HR Generalist Innovation and growth orientated organisation Greymouth or Christchurch based Our Client Westpower Ltd is an Electricity Network Company, which comprises a group of contracting and consulting companies, known as the ElectroNet Group, providing first-class electrical solutions across transmission and distribution electricity networks.  With a workforce in excess of 335 people, located in a number of locations across both the North and South Islands of New Zealand, the Group provides electrical and technology solutions to customers throughout Australasia. The Group’s head office is located in Greymouth, on the West Coast of the South Island.  For further information you can visit www.westpower.co.nz, www.electronet.co.nz and www.mittonelectronet.com The Role The successful applicant would ideally be situated at the Greymouth West Coast-based head office or required to spend significant time at this location. Reporting to the GM Safety, People & Corporate you will be responsible for providing professional human resource support and advice to leaders within Westpower and the ElectroNet Group. Workforce and succession planning are key functions of the role and in addition you will be the champion and leader of the Group culture activities and programmes.  The role will be responsible for attracting, selecting and onboarding quality talent. Another key aspect will be managing any employee and industrial relation events which may occur within Westpower and the ElectroNet Group. A further key component is the development and implementation of people capability frameworks, along with performance management and related processes that will assist and enable leaders and their teams to execute the strategic, tactical and operational people activities within the business. Your Skills and Experience To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience leading a human resource function or could be a generalist Senior HR Advisor or Business Partner looking to step up. A HR related tertiary qualification is desirable and you will have the ability to mentor and develop leaders whilst developing and maintaining great relationships at all levels. You will be committed to providing excellent service levels to internal and external stakeholders and any exposure to highly regulated environments would be advantageous but not essential. In addition you will be passionate about developing ad supporting leadership and the culture within Westpower and the ElectroNet Group, and will be able to demonstrate your skills and experience improving culture and managing change.
