Te āhuatunga a te tūranga/About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Co-ordinator to take a key role in the efficient planning, coordination and monitoring of our programmes and events across People and Performance.  These may relate to wellbeing, awards and recognition, learning and development, diversity and inclusion and other culture related priorities. 

The Co-ordinator will work as part of a team providing admin and logistical support across People and Performance including financial management support.

People and Performance is part of the Corporate and Digital Services group which has a Ministry wide view on organisational issues and is responsible for providing essential support for all the work done across the Ministry.

He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you need to be delivery focused with great attention to detail and follow through.  You will be adept at managing competing priorities and demands. 

You will have previous experience in a co-ordination or administration support role and be confident dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

As this role will work as part of a team providing co-ordination and administrative support to People and Performance a naturally collaborative style with strong relationship management skills is a must.   

Additional requirements include :

  • Strong IT Skills, in particular Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience in forecasting and managing budgets (preferred)
  • An understanding of procurement and contract management (preferred)
