What you will do
The purpose of the position is to coordinate the Fleet Personnel and Training organisational (FPTO) performance management criteria, risks and Issues reporting, data and information management. You will also be required to facilitate the coordination of a wide range of management information in order to facilitate effective decision making and governance across the naval system within FPTO, Navy and NZDF.
What we need
We are seeking a person with demonstrated experience in data analysis and reporting. You have the ability to identify business performance measurement requirements combined with experience and knowledge of risk management and information management methodologies and tools.
You can bring excellent time management, planning and organisational skills and an advanced level of computer literacy specifically with MS Office. You are an expert on Excel using formulae and pivot tables with ease.
Exceptional communication skills are essential in this role, you communicate confidently and clearly and can work across a diverse range of people.
A relevant tertiary qualification or experience is desirable.
Who we are
The Fleet Personnel and Training Organisation (FPTO) is responsible for managing the careers of all uniformed members of the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) and the delivery of induction, leadership, and environment-specific professional training to naval personnel, and in some instances, other members of the NZDF. The FPTO also provides advice on human resource (HR) policy that affects Navy and is responsible for the application and oversight, within Navy, of NZDF HR principles and practices.
