An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced PA/EA to support our Deputy Director-General, Policy and Visitors. We are looking for a dedicated and collaborative individual to join our team who feels inspired, day in day out and connected to our united purpose: Papatūānuku Thrives.

He angitūtanga: About the Role

As PA to the Deputy Director-General, Policy and Visitors, you will be focussed on providing one-on-one support and have the ability to step into some project-based work occasionally. You will need to be a smart, tech-savvy operator with strong prioritisation, warm communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of people to ensure the Deputy Director-General is successful in their role. Key responsibilities include:

  • providing administrative support including diary and email management, planning and event management
  • arranging travel and accommodation
  • preparing documentation including presentations, reports and briefings
  • establishing and managing relationships with key stakeholders externally and within DOC
  • taking notes/minutes of meetings

  • proven aptitude for the PA role
  • initiative and thoughtfulness
  • knowledge/understanding of Government is helpful but not essential
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • highly effective planning and organisational skills
  • strong customer service focus
  • expertise using the Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
