The team: What we do

Canterbury District Health Board prides itself on supporting and developing Clinical Pharmacists. This position has plenty of challenging opportunities and innovation is encouraged by peers, senior staff and management. The department provides regular continuing education and numerous other training opportunities.

We’re currently looking for two qualified and NZ registered Pharmacists to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term basis for six months to cover the winter period. These positions are based at our Christchurch Hospital campus but may require rotations across Hillmorton and Burwood Hospitals.

The role: Where you fit in

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Clinical interventions
  • Medicines reconciliation
  • Patient counselling
  • Dispensing and aseptic production

Your skills will include the following:

  • Well-developed communication and time-management skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • The ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team
  • A flexible and motivated approach to your work
  • You must be a qualified and NZ registered pharmacist
  • Hospital experience is preferable
