Ko tā mātou mahi – Our role

As the Placement Support Specialist you will manage the process of matching new applicants with suitable Kaīnga Ora housing. Part of the role is face to face interview with the potential candidate for a home and this is Pre placement Interview Assessment to determine If It’s a sustainable match and offer support services This will mean quickly establishing relationships with Ministry of Social Development, potential and existing tenants as well as internal teams. This is a busy and exciting role so you will need to work efficiently and be highly organised to ensure a successful outcome for our customers.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu – What you will bring

  • Solid experience in a service delivery role
  • Sound organisational and time management skills
  • The confidence and capability to take ownership for delivering successful outcomes
  • Proven communication and relationship management skills
  • Experience with how large organisations function and interact and how to get best results for customers
  • Ideally an understanding of social housing and knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act
