The Royal Commission’s work has been divided in to a series of investigation topics that, when combined, will answer the Terms of Reference for the Commission. Each investigation is led by an assigned Counsel Assist who leads a multi-disciplinary team of lawyers, researchers and other specialists to address our terms of reference as they relate to the investigation topic.

As part of these teams, we are recruiting Planning and Support Leads to support the Counsel Assist responsible for each investigation. Reporting to the Programme Lead, this position requires a highly organised and experienced project planner who is familiar with a range of project planning frameworks and tools. You will use your experience to support Counsel Assist in formulating project plans, setting and monitoring project budgets and ensuring that timeframes are adhered to. This is a critical role and requires strong relationship skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.

About us

The Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in State Care and Faith-based institutions is about people, in particular children, young people and vulnerable adults, and their experiences of historical abuse and neglect in State care and in the care of faith-based institutions. Over the next three years, the Commission will listen to stories about the experiences of people in care and examine ways to stop further abuse.
