About the role.

As a Policy Advisor in Langa Le Vā MBIE’s Pacific Policy Team you will work on a range of challenging public policy issues focused on improving the economic wellbeing of New Zealand’s Pacific Peoples.

Skills and experience required:

We are keen to hear from you if you have:

  • Policy experience or transferable experience ideally from working in a public sector  environment
  • An understanding of policy issues and challenges faced by New Zealand’s Pacific communities
  • Demonstrated Pacific cultural capability skills and some knowledge of working within Pacific community contexts
  • Strong research and analytical skills and are able to think creatively and trouble-shoot unexpected situations as they arise with confidence and accuracy
  • Must have legal right to live and work in NZ

Langa Le Vā MBIE’s Pacific Policy team is a small high-performing team focused on influencing, identifying and creating opportunities to improve economic development outcomes for Pacific Peoples in New Zealand.
