About the Role 

We are looking for a Policy Analyst or Senior Policy Analyst to support the RMA Statutory Functions project team. The team is responsible for providing advice to the Minister where he/she makes a decision under the RMA. This includes deciding on applications from a local authority to use a streamlined planning process and applications for requiring authority status

You will draw on your experience as a resource management professional to develop high quality advice for the Minister. Experience in central government supporting policy processes would also be an advantage.

  • strong relationship management skills, quickly building credibility and trust
  • curiosity and openness to develop Te Ao Māori
  • briefings experience is desirable.

Salary range: $66,521 to $86,086 pa.  Appointment within these ranges will be based on skills and experience.
