About the role
We are looking for an experienced Policy Analyst and Senior Policy Analyst support our Urban policy work programme.
Cities are where most of our people live and are crucial to NZ’s success. Our work is centred around innovative urban resource management policy and planning. An initial focus will be on implementation of the National Policy Statement for Urban Development and ongoing associated policy development.
We anticipate significant additional policy work will also be required to support the incoming government. You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to long-term thinking about the resource management system.

In addition, we are looking for particular experience in translating knowledge and insights about the housing and business development sector to support policy advice. Experience with empirical data analysis is required along with experience (or a willingness to develop) skills in spatial data analysis (ie,GIS).

Policy Analyst $66,521 to $86,086 pa – Senior Policy Analyst $92,412 to $119,592 pa
Appointment within these ranges will be based on skills and experience.
