We have an opportunity to appoint a vibrant and engaged colleague to contribute to the School of Health Sciences in the College of Health at Massey University.

This three year, fixed-term position is at Post-Doctoral Fellow level and is located at the School of Psychology, Victoria University of Wellington. This project is collaborative with Victoria University of Wellington’s School of Psychology, which is ranked among the top 1% of world universities in Psychology research.

This is a full-time position although we welcome applications from part-time applicants. A PhD degree in Biological sciences or related fields with particular experience in Neuroscience is necessary. A person with experience with rodent behavioural neuroscience techniques in general is required, along with experience in pharmacological research. Experience with drug addiction research and surgical and biochemical techniques is desirable.

The School of Health Sciences includes staff with expertise across a range of disciplines from Biomedical Sciences to Public Health which includes Environmental Health, Health Promotion and Occupational Health and Safety.

Building on your own specialisation you will pursue an active research programme in the field of tobacco dependence.
