This role will see you investing in evidence-based interventions to make a difference to our tamariki and rangatahi. You will have the opportunity to establish and develop new site initiatives to support our front-line Social Workers.You will bring your well-developed leadership and organisational skills to this role, as well as sound knowledge of front-line social work. You will play a part in influencing our Social Workers and Supervisor to support them through the provision of training, action plans and new practice tools to strengthen practice.You will have the opportunity to work with other Practice Leaders to enhance the level of practice across the Christchurch region and Oranga Tamariki to create better outcomes for our tamariki and rangatahi.The key attributes you must have are the following: Expert level knowledge in managing complex practice and caseworkProven experience in child protectionAbility to work collaboratively with peers and external stakeholdersSound knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly The Oranga Tamariki Act and cultural practice frameworks that support Maori-centred practiceFull and clean driver’s licenceFull registration with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board and a current annual practising certificate In return we can offer the following: Salary range of $81,654.83 – $110,472.08 per annumInduction and regular trainingCareer development and coachingFull support transitioning into the roleExcellent benefitsAccess to corporate health fund discounts and a banking package with WestpacSupport in learning Te Reo (voluntary) We offer a vibrant and supportive team, flexible working options and a genuine commitment to well-being.
