The Engagement and Partnerships Group supports the success of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency by strengthening relationships with our central and local government partners, communities and industry. We do this by telling great stories about the work Waka Kotahi does. Our exciting and diverse work spans a range of partners and stakeholders – we support Ministers, coordinate collaboration across central government, lead constant dialogue with our local government partners, and engage directly with the New Zealand public.
Our team is dynamic, working across the business to understand our partners and stakeholders, how we connect with them, and work with them to achieve outcomes for their communities. We provide strategic direction to the business, as well as advice and the tools to be successful.
The opportunity | Te whiwhinga mahi
This is an opportunity to be a leader in dedicated and passionate team. Your role will be to lead and manage the internal and external communications and engagement activities associated with our regulatory function. You will be a confident and capable people leader (leading a team of three), with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships and connections across the organisation. You will offer excellent strategic advice and coaching and will drive our strategic approach, communications planning and specialist solutions delivery for our regulatory function.
We’re looking for a candidate with an impressive track record of delivering and driving a communications programme with measurable results, and with a passion for creating proactive opportunities and new ideas. You’ll need to be comfortable dealing with complex issues and giving advice on strategies for managing them.
