The Department of Conservation has an exciting opportunity for a project manager to work across the workstreams of Predator Free 2050 Tools to Market.

Predator Free 2050 Tools to Market will make widely accessible the tools needed to achieve the Predator Free 2050 goals, by investing where we can accelerate research and product development to deliver new tools within one to five years.

 

This role leads the contract establishment and management of multiple workstreams and research and development supplier contracts. As project manager you will:

  • Facilitate cross-functional teams of experts to translate supplier proposals into workstreams aligned to the Tools to Market purpose
  • Establish and maintain documentation for project management and control
  • Identify and escalate risks and opportunities for management
  • Coordinate advice to and implement decisions from the project governance
  • Prepare, phase, reforecast, track and report on project budgets
  • Monitor progress of each workstream and hold workstream leaders/suppliers to account
  • Develop and implement stakeholder management plans as required
  • Administer meetings and distribute communications

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications
  • Experience of facilitating multiple workstreams, involving cross-functional teams and suppliers
  • Accurate and efficient management of project documentation
  • Familiarity with public sector financial and procurement processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally
