The Ministry of Education is improving its services for children and young people who require additional support to meet their learning needs.
We are seeking a Principal Advisor to join our team.
This position will work as part of a team to ensure that support and subject matter expertise is provided across all regions. The role is based in Wellington.
Key responsibilities will be to support practice improvement and maintain relationships to support the development and dissemination of evidence informed best practice.
We are looking for someone with experience in:
Your post graduate study (beyond initial qualification) will support you in this role, in both critiquing and applying evidence in your work.
You will have a strong commitment to implementing Ka Hikitia and ensuring positive and sustainable change for Māori ākonga. You will have demonstrated ability to work strategically across specialist disciplines and collaboratively with educators, with an excellent understanding of the Learning Support Delivery Model.
