The team supports staff and elected members to build governance capability which is all about making robust decisions for Auckland and Aucklanders. We work in partnership with people from across council and the wider council group.In this role you will help lead, develop and implement a complex, cross-organisation programme to lift the quality of advice and support provided to decision-makers (elected and appointed). You will develop and implement evaluation frameworks and communication strategies for the programme. You’re encouraged to contribute your innovative ideas to the quality advice programme and the work of the wider team.He kōrero mōu: About youYour background will likely include previous experience in a policy or advisory role where you have gained excellent knowledge of local government. Strong programme and project management skills are ideal, as is experience with culture change and managing relationships in complex organisations.Tertiary qualifications in Public Policy, Economics, Law, Planning, Business or similar will suit this role. Your analytical, critical evaluation and conceptual thinking skills will see you able to think through issues and maintain a strategic perspective. You are someone who delivers results.With a real interest in developing others, you will be able to engage your audience and take them on the journey with you.
