The Data & Analytics team are the centre of expertise for data governance and lead the effort to raise data literacy levels across NZ Post. This is a role that has depth and breadth, influencing widely across our organisation. Accountabilities include: Developing the data usability strategy and roadmap – including positions around data ethics, customer consent and privacy – and the supporting data governance and data management structures to implement these policiesThought leadership, and programme / policy development and implementation, on data governance, protection and literacyCreating a data driven culture through guidance, coordination and consistencyThe ability to influence change in dynamic, complex environments with multiple competing priorities We’re looking for someone who has: 10 + years’ experience in a major organisation, with large-scale data or project management and oversight experience5 + years in a data leadership role, with senior level culture change experienceA track record leading data usage strategy development and implementation of roadmaps including coverage of data ethics, governance and data management considerationsExperience in risk assessments around data products, including providing guidance on ways to mitigate risk and operate within appropriate guardrailsStrong personal credibility and leadership skills; being able to comfortably guide senior people through difficult trade-off discussions and creatively build consensusExperience facilitating discussions between technical and non-technical audiences at all levelsFamiliarity with relevant regulatory and certification frameworks such as CPG234, CPS234, NZ Privacy Law, GDPR, ISO 27001/SOC2, open data and emerging trends and issues.Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection and privacy Sound like you?
