The Principal Advisor DHB and Crown Entity monitoring is a critical role, supporting a team of professionals to deliver value-add timely monthly reporting to Ministers and senior management that includes both financial and non-financial drivers. This will include variance analysis, forecasts and recommendations for management on DHB and Crown Entity Health sector financial performance and consolidated results. You will also be responsible for providing the Executive Leadership Team with insights on the ongoing financial performance and sustainability of DHBs and Health sector Crown entities.
In this position you will also be required to take the lead in development, planning and implementation of specific process improvement initiatives along with supporting and mentoring the development needs of the team and providing quality assurance and peer review assistance to the team as required.
To be successful in this role you will be relationship focused, and well versed with working with government decision-making and operating procedures. You will have proven leadership skills and experience in working across organisations using a relationship approach that results in the effective provision of services. As a strategic thinker you will be proactive and objective in the provision of financial advice, analysis and reporting. A tertiary qualification in a finance or relevant field, Chartered Accountant or similar qualification is required.
