This is a new position to support PHARMAC’s planning and engagement with consumers. We’re looking for a someone with a passion for consumer engagement who can hit the ground running.

You need to be able to do day-to-day engagement work, as well as have a strategic view to support the organisation to incorporate the views of consumers in our work.

This role suits a customer focused and can-do personality, who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Reporting to the Manager, Implementation Programmes, you will work closely with the implementation and communication teams and wider organisation to help determine how PHARMAC engages with consumers both now and in the long term.

You will have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in leading on consumer engagement work, ideally in a government organisation.
  • An understanding of how to seek and include consumer views, including Māori and Pacific worldviews, in projects and workstreams.
  • An engaged, curious and results driven approach to your work.
  • An understanding of the New Zealand health system and the roles that different agencies and individuals play in that.
