In our Transport Services group, we plan, design, build, operate and maintain an integrated transport system which reflects our plans and priorities and provide, improve and maintain the land transport system to effectively enable transport services.
The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
The purpose of the Principal Planning Advisor role is to support the Manager System Long Term View by helping to develop the Transport Agency’s long-term thinking for the land transport system, through Arataki and beyond, and ensure the planning processes and decisions contribute to achieving the Transport Agency’s long-term goals.
You will get the opportunity to lead strategic thinking about how the land transport system can enable communities respond to challenges and opportunities over the next 10-30 years. You will have worked in a similar role in local or central government or the private sector and have a good understanding of the machinery of government, as well as a strong strategic skill set. You will enjoy working closely with stakeholders and be passionate about synthesising and analysing evidence and conversations from a wide range of sources.
