This role sits within the Māori Health Strategy and Policy team which focuses on innovative shifts to improve our health and disability system to deliver equitable and sustainable Māori health and wellbeing outcomes. The Māori Health Strategy and Policy team, working alongside the COVID-19 directorate, leads the Māori health COVID-19 response, honoring Te Tirite o Waitangi commitments and prioritising equity in health outcomes for Māori.

This role leads in the Māori Health Covid-19 response and delivers exemplary quality policy advice to improve health outcomes for Māori, honoring Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations as part of the complex and challenging environment.
